Ingredients
1.3kg/3 lb green tomatoes, chopped
1kg/2.2 lb red apples, chopped
3 red sweet peppers, coarsely chopped
4 onions, chopped
1 ½ tbsp salt
1 ½ teasp pepper
1 ½ teasp ground cinnamon
¾ teasp ground cloves
550g sugar
480ml cider vinegar
Method
1. Prepare the jars: Process in boiling water bath (water to cover top of jars) for 15 minutes. Remove jars to wire racks and cool.
2) slowly bring to the boil all ingredients and cook gently, stirring from time to time, until soft and thick.
3) spoon the hot mixture into warm jars, seal.
