Moroccan Mint Tea Recipe
Ingredients
5 sprigs fresh mint, plus extra for garnish 2 tbsp gunpowder green 3 tbsp sugar, to taste 4 cups water
Method
1) boil the water and pour a small amount in the teapot with 2 teaspoons gunpowder green tea,3 tbs sugar, to taste and 5 mint leaves swishing it around to warm the pot and wash your tea
2) pour out all the liquid through a strainer leave as much of the tea, mint, and sugar in the pot as possible.
3) fill the teapot with boiling water over the tea, sugar and mint leaves. Let the tea brew for three minutes.
4) set out shot -glasses for the tea
5) fill just one glass with the tea, then pour it back in the pot
6) repeat the same process
7) pour the tea keeping the teapot a high distance above the glass, this will help to make the foam, repeat until the tea starts to foam
8) serve garnish with sprigs of mint.
