Nam Prik

This mixture is from Thailand, and used with vegetables, rice and fish.

Ingredients

4 dried red chillies, seedless and chopped, 6 dried shrimps, a small piece of trassi, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp soft brown sugar, juice of one lime.

Method

Process the chillies and dried shrimps, heat the trassu, crumble it and pound with the garlic, combine all the ingredients except the lime juice and process, add the lime juice a little at a time.
