Ingredients
2 lbs (or more) large shrimp, peeled and divined
2 quarts salted water
Lettuce leaves
Lemon Wedges
Cocktail Sauce (recipe below)
Method
Cook shrimp in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes, drain and chill
Mix shrimp with cocktail sauce, arrange them on a bed of finely chopped lettuce, serve with lemon wedges
Shrimp Cocktail Sauce Recipe
4 tbsp ketchup
1/2 cup mayonnaise sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
dash Worcestershire sauce
few drops Tabasco hot sauce
1 tbsp Cognac or Brandy
salt and pepper to taste .
Combine and mix well
