Ingredients
1-1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 tsp each ground cinnamon and nutmeg
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 tsp sweet basil, crushed
1 tsp lemon juice
4-1/2 cups assorted, red, green and blue-black grapes, halved and seeded
1 red apple, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 cup slivered blanched almonds
Method
1) bring to boil, vinegar,sugar and seasonings, reduce heat to simmer, cook uncovered for 5 minutes, stir in the lemon juice, grapes and almonds.
2) cool and refrigerate until serving, remove the cinnamon stick.
