This sauce goes very well with vegetables and grilled lamb or fish
Ingredients
1 cup tahini * see recipe below
150g peeled walnuts, soaked in boiling water for 1 hour
3/4 cup lemon juice
11/2 tsp red wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
30g stale white bread, torn, if needed into 1,5 cm cubes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp parsley, finely chopped
dash of cumin
dash allspice
Method
1) put in a food processor, walnuts, bread and blend well, stir in the other ingredients and pulse until smooth.
