Tzatziki Recipes

Ingredients

    plain yoghurt 500 ml
    cucumber 1 pc
    garlic cloves 6
    pc chives sq
    olive oil sq

Method

   1. Peel and grate the cucumber, set the cucumber aside in a colander or strainer, to allow excess liquid to drain awa
   2. In a bowl place the yoghurt and add the finely chop garlic and chives to taste
   3. Add the drained cucumber and whisk in olive oil to taste
   4. Season as required
   5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Chef's Tip:

    Tzatziki can be bought pre-made in most supermarkets these days, normally found amongst all the chilled dips and spreads, but making your own is so easy. It is also a great dip to serve with a selection of breads, potato or corn chips, etc.

plain Greek yoghurt 500 ml
cucumber 1 pc
1/1-2 teaspoons salt
garlic cloves 4 chopped
1  tbs chopped fresh mint or dill plus additional sprigs
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1/2  tsp red wine vinegar
1/4  tsp ground black pepper

Method

 1. Peel and grate the cucumber, set the cucumber aside in a colander or strainer, to allow excess liquid to drain away
   2. In a bowl place the yoghurt and add the finely chop garlic and chives to taste
   3. Season as required, add the drained cucumber and  garlic, chopped mint or dill , oil, vinegar, and pepper to yogurt and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 or up to 4 hours. Serve chilled or at room temperature, topped with cucumber slices and mint sprigs.
